All original sticks were collected after ‘Storm Dennis’ swept across the U.K. in February 2020, destroying homes and livelihoods across the country.
The 'Scaffolding' series takes a look at the structures in society that provide humanity with support and stability. The sticks here carry the destruction of the storm while providing the building blocks and framework for regrowth and progression. The relationship between humanity and the common stick dates back for millenia. Be that in tools for hunting and farming, or structures that have protected us from the rain and heat. Building with sticks comes only naturally to us.
